What’s it like working at UnitingCare Health?

    AI summary of recent reviews

UnitingCare Health maintains a positive team culture, particularly among frontline staff who demonstrate genuine care for patients and mutual support. The organisation offers valuable benefits including salary sacrifice options and provides excellent flexibility with rosters and shift arrangements, which staff greatly appreciate.

However, staff face challenges with high workload demands and patient ratios, particularly during periods of tight staffing. The corporate structure presents some challenges in terms of resource allocation between management and frontline staff, while some system limitations and resource constraints affect operational efficiency.

Allot of rule-breaking and if you speak out about this you are thrown under the bus
The good thingsSome co-workers but these are mostly agency nurses
The challengesimpossible patient load, private hospitals put the profits over patients. And they often also don't have doctors onsite so a lot of cutting corners. Things are prescribed incorrectly frequently and senior nurses just run with it.

The worker bees genuinely care. Exec are a liability
The good thingsAway from head office the work environment isn’t too bad. The teams on the ground are genuinely wanting to meet the organisational vision and mission. Avoid the Ann St office.
The challengesThe corporate office is a nightmare. The IT department is dreadful. Too much self interest and not enough self reflection.
