What’s it like working at Wilmar Sugar?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Wilmar Sugar's strongest asset appears to be its workforce, with many employees praising their colleagues for creating a supportive and friendly environment. The company offers attractive compensation packages with overtime opportunities, and provides training and development opportunities for career advancement.

However, there are areas for improvement, particularly regarding management practices and communication between head office and site operations. The demanding workload and limited breaks during shifts can impact work-life balance, while some employees express concerns about aging equipment and maintenance issues affecting workplace efficiency.

Absolute garbage workplace starting from the top!
The good thingsMost who you work with are ok.
The challengesEgotistic and big headed behaviours that are accepted, even when multiple errors are made, as long as management see things on the computer are ok. Existing staff at times have a huge impact on new operators and make them leave! Management is terrible and do not care for anyone but themselves! Certain management become “buddies” with operators and a favouritism in a way exist but unspoken! Workload and pay, they advertise a “lifestyle roster” but you will be told pretty quick it is a 3 man roster! Absolutely no work life balance and they determine when you can and can’t take leave! If you want to work for a company that is all take take take, here it is!

    Not even worth the headache
The good thingsThe people are amazing. The employees on the floor and operators are great people to be around and make the place what it is. They make the place bareable to work in
The challengesManagement HR does nothing for the people- they play saftey until safety comes in the way of production. They are livin in the 1800’s and blame the workers for all industry issues rather than take responsibility.
