Student review
After studying the 3 year Bachelor course, I find myself underwhelmed. This bachelor teaches you a little bit about a lot, rather than honing in properly on any one area. It has a large emphasis on animal based environmental issues rather than climate change or sustainability. The teaching in some units was down right comical at times, uninspired lectures and others who literally will not help you outside of lecture time. Deakin is a very relaxed University in regards to this course, if you are wanting to get into animal conservation then fantastic, Deakin is the way to go however if you want your career to go in basically any other environmental path, head to Melbourne or Monash.

Thanks for taking the time to detail your experience at Deakin. It's unfortunate to hear this was how you found the course. We definitely appreciate the feedback as it helps us continue to improve going forward.
