Why study this course

  • Develop the skills and knowledge needed for a role as a Head or Assistant Coach, High Performance Manager, Strength and Conditioning Coach or Director of Coaching
  • Learn about coaching theory, strength and conditioning methodology, scientific processes, leadership skills and communication techniques
  • As part of this course you will also complete the AIS Community Coaching General Principles Course, AIS Community Officiating Principles Course, NRL Level 1 Officiating Course, as well as ASCA Level 1 and 2 Course (conditions apply)

Entry requirements

  • Completion of NSW Higher School Certificate or equivalent; OR
  • Performance in relevant year 11 results for early entry (pending release of HSC results); OR
  • Completion of an Associate Diploma, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Tertiary Preparation Certificate from a TAFE or other recognised VET provider; OR
  • Completion of a Certificate IV from a TAFE or other recognised VET provider AND completion of year 11 or equivalent; OR
  • One year of full-time study in a degree at a recognised higher education institution; OR
  • Satisfaction of entry requirements specified under formal articulation arrangements as determined by the ACPE Academic Board; OR
  • Completion of a Big Picture Education Portfolio at a Big Picture School, supported by a recommendation from the school principal; OR
  • Completion of a recognised overseas qualification with demonstrated proficiency in English; OR
  • Demonstration to the CEO or Dean satisfaction of good selection prospects as a student
