At the beginning, I thought the course structure was strange having only 2 subjects of the first year being centred regarding nursing and rest about broad subjects. I came to learn that the subjects we took in first year enabled us to succeed in our university assignments for the consecutive years as it taught us how to analyse research articles and how to reference and write a university level writing. The rest of the course consisted of both practical and theoretical components. It was hard at times to balance assignments and completing placements but you get through it and I find that educators and teachers were approachable and had checked in on me frequently when I was having difficulty.

Overall the course was good, the delivery, materials and content were appropriate, however the placement experience was not good, as I had to wait for them to be able to provide a placement for myself, in addition the placement was very far away from my house

The Master of Teaching is a highly applied course which emphasised practical aspects of teaching. The online course structure with face-to-face intensives was very flexible.
