    MCWA have been great to work for in Community Support Worker position.
    The good thingsI work in a Community Support Worker role and visit clients in home but the staff in the office are always friendly and supportive when I have any issues and with general day to day communication. Rostering staff are really supportive.
    The challengesWorking in community care always has some challenges, but it is the way they are managed that is important. Sometimes clients don’t want service or want extra or different. I always feel supported by the staff. The only negative and hopefully one day it will change, (hello Fair Work Commission) is they only pay km rate for travel and not travel time. Some other organisations are paying travel time. For me this is offset by salary packaging and the fact I like the company.
