The couse was helpful as it was quite detailed. They even included the lesson to prepare us for Master of Research which i think was unnecessary but helped in knowing more about what we learnt.

The course was well designed and the teaching faculty was experienced and knowledgeable. It lacked practical aspect as there was only one unit in my three year degree which had a placement.

In general, I feel the course has enhanced my knowledge and practical ability in translating and interpreting. The tutors in my specific language stream were experienced, thorough and helpful - always willing to offer feedback and advice. I don’t know if I feel particularly ready to take the NAATI exam, as I feel I still need more practice, but it’s something I may study for and try to prepare for in the coming year. The Technology unit in the Master of T & I was particularly difficult and I had to buy a PC because the software was not compatible with the Mac I had just bought for uni. I wish that I had known this in advance and that there had been more support in the Tecnology subject. All in all, I am satisfied with my progress and results, and hope to do more translation work abroad (even if I can’t get NAATI accreditation) in the near future.
