A great team of people, with good benefits & flexible working conditions.
The good thingsGood salary & benefits, with a very pleasant & flexible working environment, a good team of people & some opportunities for advancement. The work was enjoyable, & I felt that I was making a worthwhile contribution in the workplace. The office is very close to public transport, with nearby shops. The environment was less formal than some other government departments in which I had previously worked. I commenced as a full-time, non-ongoing employee, but was later able to secure a permanent/ongoing role there - something I had not been able to do in the government departments in which I had previously worked as a full-time, non-ongoing employee.
The challengesThe workload sometimes gets quite hectic, with the need to meet tight deadlines, which meant occasional work outside of standard hours, but which I did not mind.
