    Warning: Avoid, avoid, avoid, avoid!!!
The good thingsA few collaborative, forward thinkers amidst the Business As Usual blockers.
The challengesFailure to follow their own processes and policies. The glossy initial presentation as an employer of choice provides a very brittle veneer covering questionable and toxic work practices. Give Nillumbik a wide berth.

    Toxic and unsupportive work environment.
The good thingsOther than the work colleagues, nothing was good.
The challengesToxic workplace with poor leadership and excessive micromanagement. A particular coordinator fails to support the team and delays planning report reviews, yet blames staff and expects constant reminders to do his job. Planners must attend site visits for nearly every application, adding to workload, while delays are never acknowledged by management. Flexible work arrangements exist in name only. They benefit management, not staff. Band 5 planners are limited to one work-from-home day per week, assigned at management’s discretion with no flexibility. Even then, staff must seek permission in advance to take their RDO. The coordinator focuses solely on KPIs, not team wellbeing, and morale is low. Staff turnover is very high. Salaries are advertised with super, misleading new planners about actual pay.
