    he Community Consultative Committee is a statutory Committee under Queensland legislation.Community Consultative Committee members are appointed by the Wet Tropics Management Authority Board as individuals who represent a broad range of sectors from throughout the Wet Tropics region who contribute their views and provide advice to the Wet Tropics Management Authority Board on relevant World Heritage issues. The Community Consultative Committee Terms of Reference provides detailed information about the purpose, membership and roles and responsibilitites of the Committee and its Chair.The Committee comprises approximately 12 members who have:established sector or community of interest networksknowledge of the World Heritage Area and involvement in one or more sectoral or community issues associated with its managementability to exchange information between the community, the Committee and the Authority.The meetings are also regularly attended by representatives from World Heritage Area partners such as QPWS, GBRMPA and Terrain NRM.
