Excellent experience and proud to have been part of Sustainability Victoria.
The good thingsI really enjoyed working at SV because of its strong commitment to sustainability. It was a wonderful experience to be part of such a dedicated and supportive team.
The challengesI completed my internship at SV and felt like part of my team and the organization the entire time. It is a great place to work. There is always room for improvement, but this may depend on external factors, such as more government support, since sustainability is very important for a country’s development.

Motherhood and apple pie, with a healthy dose of toxic positivity, and executive leadership that leaves pretty much everything to be desired.
The good thingsThere are purposeful people trying to do a good thing.
The challengesThe management has no credibility in the field.

I had a terrific experience here and wish I could have stayed longer, after quite a few extensions on my contract.
The good thingsA good culture orientated towards team work and a very agile and flexible environment to work in. People are really lovely, empathetic, passionate about sustainability and very knowledgeable about the subject.
The challengesWorkloads can be inconsistent, especially as a contractor. Management changes seem too frequent and organisation structure far too complex and large. Even in the time I was there, there seemed to be high turnover; I don't think this was due to dissatisfaction but because contracts had simply come to an end. My observation is that government work is mostly insecure now.
