14 months jobless. 15 years of experience. Still rejected—“overqualified.”
Yet recruiters call offering roles completely unrelated to my background. Are resumes even being read?
Candidates are told to be clear and professional—where is that standard on the other side?
This system is broken. Experienced professionals are overlooked.
It’s time for accountability, respect, and real understanding in hiring.

I’ve been ghosted and rejected so many times just because I don’t have “enough experience.” It gets frustrating, especially when I’m trying, to put effort every day. I keep going. I keep applying, improving, and pushing forward. One day someone will give me a real chance. Until then, I won’t stop trying.

Telling people they're overqualified never made any sense to me. Surely the better someone's qualified, the more likely there are to be successful?
Is that feedback you've got directly or is it more a reading between the lines? Sometimes I think 'overqualified' is code for something else.

Here here. Respecting the work we put in to applying shouldn't be asking too much.

It's maddening when they decide that the job won't be enough for you. Ultimately you wouldn't have applied if it wasn't.
Have you tried really spelling out why you're interested and some of the things you can bring that less qualified ppl can't? e.g. mentoring/training/proactive suggestions.

It sucks when you know you can do it anyway. LIke, there's no reason for them to step in and say you're overqualified. You chose to put an application in
