No matter how many jobs I apply for, they either ghost me or turn me down. I've remade my resume 3 different times, adding more information with each change. I honestly don't have a clue as to what I'm doing wrong.

Cover Letter or not to cover letter? Based on my experience, both as a HR admin, and as a candidate, is the accompanying cover letter a thing of the past? with available technology now, and time constraints - do we really read/need them?

I’m curious. Do recruiters want or even care about cover letters for job application? I feel like before AI you could stand out by writing a good cover letter but nowadays anyone can just use chatgpt and word vomit out some generic rubbish. Keen to hear your thoughts.

I apply only for jobs I am 100% qualified for and experienced to do. Recently got a rejection email saying my skills “don’t align with the role” mind you the job title was the exact same as my current job title, and I answered all the criteria. I’ve had plenty of rejections but this one just irked me. Does it mean my application wasn’t even looked at by a human? What can I do to communicate that I am actually exactly qualified for a role?

I am a physiotherapist with HCPC (UK), New Zealand APC, and AHPRA general registration, with 2 years 9 months experience. I upskill through Physio Network and MAPPP. I am seeking physiotherapy roles in Australia with visa sponsorship as I am not yet based there. I apply via SEEK and directly to employers via email but I am not being shortlisted for interviews and often receive no response. I would appreciate guidance on how to improve my application strategy and increase my chances.
