In China, I use Mastercam to create 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis toolpaths. I use CIMCO and Vericut to verify G-code. I can set up and debug machine simulations. I can design simple fixtures using CREO software. Common FANUC System Vertical Machining Center. Now, I am thinking about working in Australia. Although my English level is not good, this has nothing to do with my ability to independently complete part machining. I hope to obtain a small or medium-sized enterprise sponsorship visa.

I’ve just moved into my first management role and to be honest I kind of hate it. My fault, I didn’t realise how much red tape and admin and meetings, so many meetings, would come with it. I don’t get to do any actual work that I wanted to do when I entered my line of work as a designer. For those with more experience: how did you adjust? Are there ways to manage all the paperwork so I still get to do some hands-on creative work? Appreciate any advice.

I'm an illustrator in an all-rounder digital role doing social media, video editing, basic graphic design etc. and I'm not finding it fulfilling. I don't really enjoy "content creation" and want to move into a more "serious" design role at one of the bigger agencies but I don't know where to start. Aside from applying for jobs I like, is there anything else I can do to make the leap? Should I be mocking up concepts to put in my portfolio or even applying to Award School? Any advice?
