Hi everyone, I've been a qualified chef for 23 years, but lately I've been feeling completely burnt out and have lost the passion I once had for cooking. At 38, the idea of starting over in a new career feels pretty overwhelming—especially with financial responsibilities like a mortgage. I'm considering a mature-age apprenticeship to make a career change, but I'm concerned about the income side of things. Are mature-age apprenticeships generally low-paying. Thx

Hey there seek, Im looking for a career change but have no idea where to start. Ive always been sort of academically inclined and introverted, in early adulthood I completed a degree in biotechnology, with honours. For reasons best known to fate, I wound up working as a construction and demolition labourer. I was wondering if there were any ideas for potential career changes? I have been a Police Officer for 12 years working in predominantly specialist tactical areas as well as road Policing. I am currently looking into a possible career change that is family friendly due to current burn out and frustration within the organization. Open to travel and change or role with a wage similar if not more than currently earning.

Has anyone here done a degree or TAFE course in their 30's? I got a hospo job straight out of school and I don't hate it but I'm so bored and I want to do something else, I'm not een sure what. I'm about to turn 30 and feeling lost! I like the idea of doing something creative but I literally hve no professional level skills. Whst are my realistic options here?

I’m interested in graphic design but apparently that’s going to be taken by AI, so I'm hesitant to leave my stable job. What does everyone think? Iv been involved in the transport industry for over 10 years and iv decided iv had enough of driving trucks and want to move to something completely different. But I have to find something that still pays highly and can offer a good work life balance without having to travel long distances
