I messed up my interview. I want to do better but I can't just answer confidently or comfortably when I'm being interviewed, and the words that's in my head is not properly communicate, like its been blocked. Someone advice me on how do I handle this?

Interview nerves can be so debilitating. I suffered from them terribly for a long time, still not great, but I've found practice is where its at. I try to hype myself up and remind myself that its just a conversation, I'm not reciting the entire works of shakespeare or anything 😅

Write down the things you will say in the interview and memorise them. Practice in front of a mirror, with a friend or even a pet! Do this until you know your spiel back to front. Remember to take care of yourself in the day/days leading up to the interview; eat well and get good night's rest.
When you are in the interview remember to use inflection and sound excited about being there.

When I go to interviews I go with the intention to find out if the company is the right one for me. So I ask questions that tell me if what I bring is useful to them, and if they are going to be the right fit for my values. It’s like professional dating, seeking a match of values and purpose. That helps me to focus and forget nerves.

I have had some awful people who interviewed over the years. 1 person even said I looked nervous was pretty horrible how e said it. he had no idea. I've had other times when some people don't look happy I've nearly thought of walking out. I had several places that actually forgot I was waiting. I patiently waiting an hour I finally walked out. I even phone one place to say I was waiting no one even came out to invite me in. some people should be left in a box. I wonder how they treat the staff

You need to write out your answers to the most common interview questions and then practice, practice and practice. I still do it, and I am in the recruitment industry.

you need to calm yourself and treat interviews more like a casual convo with a newly met friend , or think of it as you are an expert in your field of work and someone is there asking you about your story and getting advice from you, rather than them "interviewing you" , always remember you are the expert , the interviewer and you are all on equal grounds, you are not begging them for a job, best of luck ! 😉

A lot of the questions I have encountered are STAR questions where I have to describe a time something happened. I struggle with them so much. I feel like people lie when answering those questions most if the time.

You can take notes to an interview as reminders. No need to memorise

It's super common Noemie Ann and it's great to see so many people sharing their experiences. We totally agree that the more prep you can do the better...here are some tips on interview prep: https://bit.ly/3RkGxtG We've also got some tips here on handling those nerves: https://bit.ly/3uBWBzF. And remember if you've landed an interview that's a sign that they're already super interested in what you've got to say 😎

yeah same here. I allways think of the right thing to say after the interview lol.
it's your words that get you a job these days not your skills.
