It could work for some roles, like trades could be more open to it. A lot of places if you show up in person they send you to their website cause they don't want to deal with paperwork

Tech has moved times on with majority of the world and those old fashioned things are slowly fading, also a lot has to do with who you know not what you know which is disrespectful and disgusting

Think it depends on the employer. For small business it's probably 50/50 but for bigger businesses if they allowed it they'd end up with 10s or even 100s of people coming in which would be a nightmare. They'd probably still need to put it in their system so there's every chance they take it but it goes in the bin because it's so much extra work. I don't think everyone realises how many applications some of these jobs are getting.
