Hi all, a question about the marcomms 'scene' in Bris. I have been working in hotel comms in Melbourne but I want to escape the cold. Does anyone have any insights into demand for comms professionals up there, in any industry but preferrably tourism?

I did the opposite move, but did work agency-side in Brisbane for a while working with different tourism groups. It's a great industry and growing heaps with the Olympics coming up. There's a great network of agencies in Brisbane - I'd start by connecting with them!

It's been a while since I was there but used to be pretty solid. Most big agencies have a Brisbane office and there's more than a few local ones too. Good luck with it.
