The job I have always wanted to get back into is workplace health and safety. I originally left safety to do a diesel mechanic trade to get a better understanding of the hazards and risks associated with the tradesman side of safety in a business and my plan was to get back into safety once I had finished my apprenticeship and done a few years as a tradesman.
I have always had a passion for health and safety and I wish someone would just give me a go

It sounds like you'd have pretty great experience for that kind of role. One thing I had a bit of luck with when I was trying to change career was asking employers what I needed to do / improve on to get a look in next time. Even if it wasn't something I could easily do I could at least cover it off it in the next application.
