Got fired today - sad and stressed about it but I saw it coming. I'm here for words of encouragement as it seems bleak out there. I'm mentally drained to be honest. What are the sensible next steps for someone who's just lost their job?

Hey there! Sometimes we need a push to leave somewhere, to help us find something that is a better fit! Think of this as a new beginning, and remember, your next job doesn’t have to be your forever job. It can be a stepping stone along your path. Every place we go, we learn something that gives us insights we can use on the next step of our journey. Face this challenge with courage and hope: you’ve got this! 💪

Mate hang in there, life is not a straight road, there will be bumps. Think of this as a sign to get out of your comfort zone and explore. You may be valueless in one place but don’t let that demotivate you, you are valuable for another. I have been your place so I know, good luckto your future.

oh no :( Its not a good feeling. Did they give you some feedback on why the role ended? Get back out there ASAP, try not to let it hold you back. 🙏

One day at a time, in a week it won’t feel so bad. Get outside and enjoy all the things that you miss whilst working. - you’ll start to see a silver lining. All the best.

Hope you're doing ok. Do you think taking a little break to refresh and refocus would be an option? Totally get it's not always possible but helped me to really think about what I wanted to be doing when I was in a similar spot.

I lost my job, got kicked out of the house by my ex partner, car broke down and I had to sell it and I'm currently suffering 3 different illnesses still trying my best to try and find a job and and a car while living out of my mates garage with no financial assistance at all life isn't easy at times but the best thing you can do is push and try and grab onto the first thing that your hand touches I wish you good luck nothing ever lasts forever

I’m really sorry to hear that. Getting fired can be tough, especially when you saw it coming and were already stressed. It’s okay to feel drained right now take a bit of time to rest and clear your head. Once you feel ready, you can start thinking about what’s next. You’ve got this it’s just a setback, not the end.
