Feeling Burnt Out in Aged Care? Career ... Forum Community

Hi I'm Debbie and my career is in the Aged Care field. I have worked in both the Facility and also the Community. I'm currently working in the Aged Care Community doing PC, Some Social Support and lots and lots of DA. I'm finding it really tough to stay with my current job due to all the DA's the company gives you. I feel really burnt out but I honestly don't know what else I can do as they all ask for experience and my only experience is in Aged Care as a Support Worker. Please Help!

Is there anyone you can communicate with who can help guide things to a place where you are feeling like things are a more balanced? Burnout is bad for both sides, employers lose really great workers when they don't take care of it. 🙏

Community Care Personal Care Assistant

I have spoke with the Team Leader regarding my issue and she informs that yes there is alot of DA'S and it's the nature of the job. No help given there. I do have a Certificate IV in Mental Health and have been applying for positions but no luck as I haven't held a position in this field. I'm at a loss as to what to do 😔
