Second in Charge
I have a question to clarify.
I work in a childcare center in Killara.
I have one question which I need clarification.
My 20 month old son is sick. I have provided medical certificate and yet the director messaged me yesterday asking me to come to work tomorrow and saying if my husaband can look after him. I said to her my husband cannot look after him due to his workplace asking him to come to work all five days and take no leave or work from home. What should I do.

Hey there. So sorry to hear things have been difficult, especially when a child is sick. 😞 If you’ve provided a medical certificate, that’s generally enough. Your employer can ask, but they can’t force you to attend work or require your husband to be available instead.
Theres some really helpful information from Fair Work on this which explains you're rights around Carers Leave: https://www.fairwork.gov.au/leave/sick-and-carers-leave
