Recruiters/HR/people who conduct interviews. Be honest. How soon after you interview someone do you know if you will hire them or not? Is it straight after? During the interview even? I applied to a job and had experience in all their office base systems and was still told no. But was rejected a week and a half after the interview. Surely recruiters know much sooner than that so why make us wait?

So, Im not a recruiter, but I have been on the interview panel several times (But not directly responsible for making the final decision). Some roles have a process they have to go through. Especially when it's corporate, and sometimes the interviewer isn't the one choosing. One role I was at, we'd prep kind of like a report, that would go to HR and it would be a painful 3 weeks to get a reply, by then the person has a job somewhere else. So we lost the best applications half the time.
