I’m struggling with a colleague. I’ve noticed they don’t speak to me the same way they speak to other staff. Their tone is different and the way they approach communication is vastly different from how they approach other staff. I thought it was just me misreading the situation or just simply overthinking it, but different colleagues have told me that they see the difference.I spoke to someone about it all but it seems like nothing is going further than that. any advice on how to approach it?

You unfortunately need to do this yoursellf Tegan. Approach this person and simply state how you know of these differences and ask why. Be assertive, strong but calm, it always puts off bullies and people like this because you are now in control. keep records, dates, times and then hit up HR and keep records on them too if nothing is done. work is a bit like a court room governed by laws and rules that people will push and try to ignore, but truthfully no one wants to lose their job.
