What happens when youre made redundant at work, it’s on the day of your one year anniversary and you are requested to hand you work load off to a team member who will take over and then offered the job back at 50% the salary you were currently on …?

• Get redundancy status and entitlements confirmed in writing.
• Don’t accept reduced offer immediately.
• Seek advice from Fair Work or a lawyer.
• Negotiate only after entitlements are clarified.

Your rights are pretty much non existent. Workplace relations will advise that if you have been there for less than 1 year their hands are tied. Best bet, find another job with a better work culture. Don't waste your time being upset, dust yourself off and hold your head up and keep going. Be sure to ask at your next interview about job security and staff turnover.
