Early Resolution & Triage Officer
I have been working in complaints resolution for last 3.5 years and I am finding I am stuck without any progression and this leading me to burning out. Recently I have been thinking about progressing into a compliance and risk career but I don’t know where to start. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get my foot in the door?

Burnout is a very real issue Francis, we hope you're okay. Just in case it's feeling a bit overwhelming and you're not sure how to manage, we've got some practical advice here: https://www.seek.com.au/career-advice/article/are-you-headed-for-career-burnout-the-symptoms-and-how-to-beat-it With the switching of roles, is there any chance where you work at the moment might have something you can transition into? They might be able to support some learning at a flexible pace.

Hey, it’s understandable to feel stuck after a few years in the same role. Moving into compliance and risk is a natural step from complaints resolution since you already have experience with regulation and problem-solving. You might start by exploring short courses or certifications, connecting with professionals in the field, and highlighting your transferable skills when applying :)
