I am a teenager looking for my first job and I am confused and need a little help. My biggest question is would be if from an employer perspective if it would be better to go in store with a resume and cover letter and ask or to apple online. Another thing is since I am making this post I would like to ask if any employers are hiring and interested in a 15 year old casual looking for a first job.

Your better off gaining a couple months of experience from a big brand like Maccas or Hungry Jacks because most smaller stores need atleast a couple months of experience. Try applying to a store thats not that well-known or they say that theyre hiring. Make sure you mention relevant experience in your resume and dont be nervous in your interviews! Goodluck!!!

For a youth applicant like this mate definitely go in and speak with potential employers if you can. Most of us are softy’s and admire young workers with some drive and passion when we see you we will work with you much more than reading digital resume even seeing a digital image.
I imagine your position at 15 would be seen as beneficial for you to be presents and have a go at communicating with us like adults because that’s all we expect is a person interested and willing.

Hey Isaac, I think it works both ways. Some employers do value people coming in store. When I had my business, I preferred online because it can be pretty time consuming having people approach the desk daily, (especially the times we weren’t hiring). That said, it never really hurt anyone’s chances either. If the jobs on SEEK, its safe to say thats the best way to apply, after all they paid for the ad to be there. Good luck! 🤞
